TEMENOS, a global vendor
of integrated banking software that supports international banking, is the major
sponsor of the yacht TEMENOS skippered by Dominique Wavre and Michèle
Paret, in the Transat en double race from France to Brazil.
On November 3, 2001, the
yacht, TEMENOS, will leave from Le Havre in Normandy , France, in a dramatic
3 week race to Salvadore de Bahia in Brazil.
Contestants in the Transat require every ounce of teamwork, knowledge, passion,
determination and skill to reach their goal. And these are also the very qualities
that have enabled TEMENOS to reach the top of its market.
Which is why TEMENOS is
sponsoring Team Dominique Wavre. Both parties believe in strong partnerships
and both believe these partnerships can lead to great achievements.
As well as being partners
in life, Dominique and Michèle have sailed together many times. The combination
of their harmony and complementary skills become a formidable weapon at sea.
TEMENOS is playing an important
supporting role to ensure that this venture is a success. It is not just a matter
of supplying essential funding. George Koukis, Chairman and CEO of TEMENOS,
believes fundamentally in the qualities needed to overcome adversity. He says,
"The Transat en Double is a fantastic human venture and one should be proud
to participate in it. At TEMENOS we are excited at being a part of this amazing
team and all of us at the company will be watching Dominique and Michèle's
progress closely. We are a people company and it will be a great motivation
for our people as well. I wish Team Dominique Wavre a magnificent victory."
